Fleetwood maintained their 100% record and moved top thanks to second half goals from Jamie Proctor and Gareth Evans at Scunthorpe. Goals from James Hanson, Billy Knott and Mason Bennett inflicted Crawley’s first defeat of the season at home to Bradford. Hanson scored is 3rd of the season but Joe Walsh leveled 5 minutes later however new boys Knott and Bennett struck to give the Bantams the win. Bristol City remained unbeaten at the start of the season drawing 0-0 at home to Leyton Orient. Chesterfield’s perfect start came crashing down thanks to Benik Afobe. The Arsenal loanee netted after 49 minutes to give MK Dons the win.
Ben Davies’s winner ensured Sheffield United left Peterborough with 1st points of season. Jose Baxter netted for the Blades before Shaun Brisley equalized but Davies struck with 6 minutes left for United. Nathan Tyson scored deep into stoppage time to rescue point for Doncaster. Chris Humphrey’s second goal in a week put Preston ahead but a mistake from Preston keeper Jamie Jones gifted Tyson the goal. James Wilson’s equalizer for Oldham prevented Vale continuing opening season form. Tom Pope netted his 5th in 4 games to give Vale the lead before WIlson struck for home side. Stephen Bywater’s own goal in the dying minutes caused Gillingham to drop points. Danny Kedwell and Kortney Hause scored either side of Andy WIlliams’s leveler before Bywater’s mistake gifted Swindon a point.
Coventry and Barnsley shared spoils in 2-2 draw at Sixfields. Conor Hourihane’s goal was sandwiched between Josh McQuoid and Jordan Clarke’s strikes for the home side but Leroy Lita netted for second game in a row to give Tykes a point. Matt Done fired a hat trick to give Rochdale their first win of season. Marcus Haber opened the scoring before Ian Henderson leveled. Done netted twice before Haber netted his second to cut deficit to 3-2. Peter Vicenti opened up 2 goal margin before Done completed his hat trick. Yeovil got first win of season thanks to a Kevin Dawson strike. James Hayter gave the Glovers the lead before Tom Bradshaw netted for Walsall but Dawson struck a minute later to give away side victory. Liam Noble’s cracker gave Notts County first win of season; Noble’s winner came 2 minutes after Freddie Sears had equalizer for Colchester. Ronan Murray had opened scoring before two goals in 2 minutes settled the game.
